Free accounts get 5 scans per week. Your scan count resets every Monday. Upgrade to Pro or Family for unlimited scans.
What can I scan?
Anything you can read in your browser — news articles, emails in Gmail, WhatsApp Web messages, LinkedIn posts, Google Docs, contracts, ads, and more. Just open the page and click "Analyze This Page."
Does BSDetective track my browsing?
No. BSDetective only accesses page content when you explicitly click the Analyze button. It does not run in the background, monitor your tabs, or collect browsing history. See our

Is BSDetective a fact-checker?
No. BSDetective analyses how content is structured to persuade — the manipulation architecture underneath the words. A true statement can be manipulatively framed. A false statement can be delivered without manipulation. We detect the HOW, not the WHAT.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through your Lemon Squeezy account. You'll receive a link in your purchase confirmation email, or contact us and we'll help.
What's the Founding Member plan?
The first 100 users who upgrade get Founding Member pricing at $6.99/month — locked in permanently, even when Pro goes to $9.99/month. Once the 100 spots are filled, this price is gone forever.
The extension isn't working. What should I do?
Try these steps: (1) Make sure you're on a regular webpage, not a Chrome settings page or new tab. (2) Refresh the page. (3) Go to chrome://extensions, find BSDetective, and click the refresh icon. (4) If the issue persists, email us with a screenshot of the error.
What does the SPI score mean?
SPI stands for Structural Persuasion Index. It's a 0–100 score measuring how aggressively content is engineered to manipulate. It's not a truth score — it measures the density and sophistication of persuasion techniques used in the content.
